I am a software engineer, primarily interested in a mix of backend, data, and infrastructure engineering. I work at Recursion on the Data Platforms team. Basically, I build the foundations with which "data stuff" happens. Prior to Recursion, I worked as a software engineer at Cohere, focusing on the fine-tuning process.

I write most of my code in Go and Python. You can almost always find me at the official Toronto meetups for these languages. However, I'm always interested in learning new languages and technologies.

My full name is pronounced key-yawn mayr. My first name is Arabic and means "being" or "existence". I'm of Black Jamaican and Gujarati Indian descent, so naturally, I love spicy food.

I am gender non-conforming and use singular they pronouns. I also accept masculine (he) pronouns. I prefer not to make a big deal out of it.
